History
Our founders Charles and Petra Gonzales McCulley, began serving the Southern Colorado community in 1968, when the Civil Rights Movement was well on its way. Together they accepted the challenges that would come ahead. They served minority families who were not served by other mortuaries and did so with dignity and pride. Because of the visions of the McCulley’s, the business expanded to their second location in Colorado Springs, CO. Angelus Chapel celebrated 50 years of service in Southern Colorado in 2018.
Our sacred pledge to you is to serve every family as if they were our own, to treat every woman as if she were our own mother or sister, every man as if they were our father or brother.
We are able to offer a wide range of services to meet your needs and customs. We will take the time to plan every detail and help to relieve the burden on your family during your time of loss. It is this quality of service and getting to know our families that we are honored and privileged to serve it has allowed us the opportunity to build a strong relationship in the Colorado Springs Community.
Our state of the art Funeral Home is 14,000 square feet. We are located at 1104 South Circle, Colorado Springs, Colorado, 80909. The funeral home amenities include one chapel, two arrangement rooms, (one room is the casket display room). A hospitality and family greeting room, lobby area, banquet facility (featuring a large fully equipped kitchen), children’s playroom and two viewing rooms.
We offer and on-site cremator; Ensuring that your love one is in our care and in our facility throughout the cremation process. Our staff at Angelus Chapel Funeral Directors and Crematory are experienced and are here to serve your family.
