APASI Travel Insurance – What is it and how do I get it? 

If you travel a lot visiting friends, attending family reunions, graduations, weddings or putting a check mark on your bucket list, this may be the best investment that you can make.  While you may have a Prearranged Funeral plan for a local Funeral Home, who would cover the expenses of getting you back to your home if you would pass away while traveling. 

Angelus Funeral Directors and APASI (American Pre-Arrangement Services, Inc. have partnered to offer an Insurance plan that will cover those costs anywhere you travel in the world.  For a onetime fee of $425.00 you could save up to $9,000 if you die away from home in the US or up to $31,000 if you die overseas.  

Membership benefits include, return of mortal remains when you’re 100 miles or more away from your legal residence; APASI will locate a local licensed funeral home in the area that you passed away to take care of all the paperwork, preparation of the remains, and transportation to a funeral home in place of death to a funeral home in your city, this includes the airfare for the deceased;  If you should pass away overseas this also includes procuring the consular service and completing all the paperwork; access to an electronic newsletter with travel tips and other interesting information.

This is a onetime payment and is for the insured person only. You have completed the Pre planning at home, if you travel take the additional step and investment to cover additional expenses.
