Obituary for Bennie Lee Reeder

It is with great sadness that the family of, Bennie Lee Reeder, announce his passing, Sunday, November 25, 2018 at the age of 79.

Bennie will be lovingly remembered and missed by his wife and best friend of 57 years, Jessie and their seven children: Joyce, Tonnie, Bennie, Bryant, Valerie, Maurice and Kevin. Together, Bennie and Jessie have six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Bennie was born in South Carolina, August 9, 1939, to Simmie Reeder and Marie Young Reeder and is survived by sisters Sarah, Linda and brother Simmie.

Military Service/Career:
Ben served just over two years as Private First Class in the United States Army. Bennie and Jessie moved to Colorado Springs in 1962 when he was stationed at Ft Carson and have called Colorado Springs “home” since. Prior to Ben’s career as the owner of Reed’s Concrete (flat work), he drove a mixer truck for Ready Mix and Mobile Premix, 30 years combined.

Ben enjoyed fishing, camping, family vacations back to South Carolina, family cookouts and reminiscing about old times. He also found enjoyment and entertainment in watching the birds, rabbits and deer from his own back yard.
